Lord Darcy's World

This one is derived from the "Lord Darcy" magic/mystery series by Randall Garrett, in a world where France and the British became a united kingdom early on and the chief Bad Guy is Poland.

A couple points:

Yes, the borders in SE Europe make no sense. But the stories both mention the Osmanlis as having stopped further southward Polish advances not too long past, and a "Byzantine" empire which holds both Athens and the Straits, so I did the best I could.

"Vassals" is a flexible thing: the Dukes of Mechicoe definitely seem to be part of the Empire, if not run directly from Europe, but the German states are apparently fairly nominally under the Angevin crown, while in the Italian Federation (marked a different color for clarity) the Emperor "reigns but does not rule." (The Netherlands-analog I added in [1] is also a vassal).
